Camping at the festival makes the real atmosphere. Camp yourself into the party! Simerock offers you a chance to create your own festival base inside the festival area. Just pack your backpacks with tents or even bring a car and build more advanced camp.
Simerock Camping
Simerock Festival Camping is the number one place for all festival
visitors! The camping area is located in Lapinaukea field in the center of Rovaniemi. You can see the location here. The festivalbusses travel through the camping area each festival morning for the first two hours. The walk from the camping area to the bus stop is only 350 meters. Timetables for busses below.
To get into the camping area a 2 or 3 day wristband and a camp site wristband are required. With those two wristbands you are entitled to stay at the camping area from Friday to Monday, whether you decide to come there by car, motorcycle, caravan or even walking if you like. You can bring your own beverages to the camping area, but not in glass bottles. You can find showers and toilets there, but not electricposts.
The Simerock camp site wristband costs 10e/ person.
The gates to the Simerock camp site opens on Friday 10th of July at 10 am. The gates close on Monday the 13th at 1 pm. As a courtesy to the other partiers build your own camp so that there is room for everybody.
Rules for camping with vehicle. There is a limited
number of parking places and nobody is allowed to camp at the public
parking area! When you arrive to the camping area, proceed as followed:
1. Security men show you the place where you can park and how to park.
Follow their instructions. Put the parking license in the front
window, so it's easy to see.
2. If you come by motorcycle keep the parking license with you so that you
can show it when asking. Don' t leave the parking license on the bike,
because it's easy to steal.
3. You're not allowed to move your car after parking, before leaving
the area.
4. If your vehicle leaves the camping area, your place will be given to
someone else and you can't return the to area.
5. If you don't follow the instructions given to you, we can remove you from the area. If
you have a car at the camp site, you can get it back when the festival is
over.
6. Don't make a fire or handle any dangerous substances next to the vehicles or in the parking area. It is prohibited to make an open fire at the camping area.
7. Don't surround the vehicles with tents or any other constructions. In case of an emergency all vehicles has to be removable.
8. Set your tent 4 meters away from a car. Notice that you're not
allowed to sleep in your car if it's parked in a public parking area
where the distance between cars is not 4 meters. This is for fire security.
9. You're not allowed to bring any glass bottles or forbidden items to the camping area. All material needed for camping are allowed, but you can't bring that material from the camping area to any other festival areas. If needed, the festival security men are authorized to remove the forbidden items for the time of the festival.
10. Keep your vehicle locked when leaving it alone.
11. The parking license has to be returned to the gates when leaving the
area. We will charge 50 € for each unreturned parking license.
12. Simerock is not responsible for any damages in vehicles or
missing possessions.

SIMEROCK BUSES
Between Simerock Festival Area and the center of Rovaniemi goes a festival bus. Departure spot at the center of Rovaniemi is at Hotel Santa Claus at the Simerock stop. Bus costs 2 euros for one way.
